Molly Countermine, Ph.D., is an Associate Teaching Professor in the Department of Human Development and Family Studies at Penn State's University Park campus. Her classes are among the most popular at Penn State, with students praising her teaching style as engaging and interactive, and former students recommending her classes to others for their "real-life" value. Molly teaches her students about what it means to live a life of flourishing and thriving, not just simply a life of surviving, and how to implement those practices in their own lives. In this presentation, Molly will focus on factors that influence outcomes in children and adolescents who have experienced trauma, and how their families and communities can best support them in their journey of resilience.
