Skye’s the Limit! Foundation empowers youth and families through trauma-informed arts, prevention education, and community engagement that strengthen resilience, protective factors, and youth voice.
At Skye’s the Limit! Foundation, we believe prevention begins with connection.
Our programs are designed to strengthen protective factors, build leadership capacity, and create meaningful spaces where youth and families can express themselves, develop competence, and contribute to their communities.
We integrate trauma-informed practice, arts-based engagement, and prevention education to support mental wellness and resilience.
Research continues to show that participation in the arts strengthens protective factors that help youth navigate stress, trauma, and adversity. Studies from the National Endowment for the Arts, Americans for the Arts, and public health research highlight that youth involved in creative expression and collaborative arts activities demonstrate increased confidence, stronger emotional regulation, improved social connection, and greater engagement with school and community.
For youth experiencing adverse childhood experiences (ACEs), arts-based programs can provide safe spaces for expression, mentorship, and belonging — all key elements that support resilience and mental wellness. Through collaborative public art and creative programming, Skye’s the Limit! Foundation helps young people transform their experiences, ideas, and voices into meaningful contributions to their community.
Our youth programming provides creative, structured environments where young people can:
Programs may include:
Our focus is not simply on artistic skill, but on building internal capacity — confidence, connection, and competence.
Healthy families are one of the strongest protective factors for youth wellbeing.
Through our Parents Empowered Through Prevention program, Skye’s the Limit! Foundation supports parents and caregivers with resources, education, and community connection that strengthen families and promote resilience.
Parent programming may include:
These programs create spaces where parents can share experiences, build supportive relationships, and strengthen the tools needed to guide youth through challenges.
We provide education and training that promotes:
Through interactive workshops, group discussions, and arts-based learning, we support youth and families in strengthening the tools needed to move through challenges with support and awareness.
Our community murals are youth-centered collaborative projects designed to amplify community voice and promote prevention messaging.
These are not traditional commissioned murals.
In our model:
The process matters as much as the final artwork.
Murals serve as platforms for belonging, leadership, and prevention awareness.
We are building toward expanded collaborative mural initiatives and are interested in connecting with professional artists who:
Skye's the Limit! Foundation leads youth engagement and program structure. Artist partners collaborate in design refinement, technical guidance, and execution within a shared model.
Our projects operate within nonprofit and grant-based budgets, prioritizing youth participation and community impact.
While we may not have current openings, we welcome connections with artists who align with this approach as we continue to grow our programming.
If you are a mural artist or creative professional planning a public art project and are interested in bringing youth and community voices into the process, we welcome opportunities to collaborate.
Skye’s the Limit! Foundation works closely with underserved youth, justice-involved youth, and youth and families navigating high-stress environments shaped by trauma and adverse childhood experiences. Through our trauma-informed arts and prevention programming, we create safe and supportive spaces where young people can express themselves, build confidence, and contribute meaningfully to their communities.
Public art can be a powerful platform for healing, belonging, and empowerment. When artists partner with SLF, their work can reach youth who may not otherwise have access to meaningful creative opportunities.
SLF can partner with artists and organizations by supporting the community engagement portion of mural and public art projects, including:
Because of the populations we serve and the trauma-informed structure of our programs, this level of youth engagement is most impactful when done in partnership with organizations like SLF that are already working directly with youth and families.
If you are an artist interested in creating work that not only transforms a space visually but also creates meaningful impact for youth and communities, we would love to connect and explore how we can collaborate.
We are working toward expanding:
Our goal is to create sustainable, structured programming that strengthens community resilience through creative expression.
Whether you are a school, community organization, prevention partner, or professional artist aligned with our mission, we welcome conversation.
Together, we can build environments where youth voice, art, and prevention intersect to create lasting impact.

"Dial 988 for Support"
Skye’s Heavenly Birthday: March 7th
SKYE'S BIRTHDAY IS ON MARCH 7th AND YOU ARE CORDIALLY INVITED to celebrate Angel Skye's birthday and raise awareness on mental health.
LOVE ROCKS! LOVE HEALS! Let's get our heARTs on!
In Skye’s name and spirit, March 7th is declared to be: “Get Your heART on Day!” March 7th is the day Skye was born in 1995. March 7th, for me, is and always will be a day to celebrate her creation into this world, her smile and her everlasting creative spirit. She was very creative and used different mediums of art as a way to express herself and to channel her feelings, love and trauma.
In love, peace and Skye’s spirit, Keiko, Skye’s Mom
If you won't be able to attend the hike at Papago, no problem! Gather with your friends, youth group, family and paint rocks of love and healing together.
INSTRUCTIONS:
1. Paint rocks together with friends and family and share ideas on how we can support friendships and those who might be facing difficult times.
2. Write “dial 988 for support” on the back of your rock. 988 is a number that people can call when they are feeling sad, alone and need help.
3. Take a picture of your painted rock and share that picture with us ON OUR FACEBOOK EVENT PAGE along with one statement of how we can be a supportive friend.
Example: [insert your picture] “I can listen to my friend and let them know that they matter.”
4. After you post your picture on our facebook event page, take your rocks and place them around your community for others to find and enjoy your message of love - give someone a reason to smile on this day. :)
March 7th is a day to give the gift of a smile. In Skye's name, spirit and love and all the angels above, we are placing our rocks of love and positive messages out in the broader community as a way to share our heart, our love, with others. We invite you to do the same.
**This project was inspired by Frederick Rocks! in MD. Thank you, Katrina Benson for sharing your rock paintings and inspiring us to paint and share our rocks of LOVE!
